Showing posts with the label thoughts

Do you see it?

Hello, blogoverse! How's everyone doing? Great, I hope :) Me? I'm doing great! So nice of you to ask (smile) With all that's going on in the world today, I'm always on the lookout for, well a distraction. Just something that might take my thoughts on a journey or better yet, make me laugh. Heck - why not both at the same time?! Annnnd you already know about my imagination, right? (see past post for reference)  Any who, I was in the store the other day looking around at hunting and fishing stuff (yep, ya gurl has been fishing...hunting? Not so much, yet?) So I'm walking down the aisle looking at stuff for hunting and fishing - typical nature activity kinda things and then I look up and see an alien. Ok maybe not an alien actually it kinda made me think of a snake or insect. Hybrid? But this was no regular degular hybrid alien-insect-snake...Nah, this one had swag, attitude even. Don't believe me? Check this out... Look at him! It's like I walked by and he l...

Baggage On the Tracks

Hey! So the other day I was out and about (yep, that's still a thing) and happened to see this: And of course, it got me thinking, hmm, wonder what that was about? Lots of thoughts came to mind but then I keyed in on this one thought - maybe it was too heavy to carry around, so they left it there... I mean, bags/baggage can be and often is quite heavy. Big or small, we normally find ourselves adding so many items into the bag, most of the stuff we add we don't even use (like that extra 4 bottles of hand sanitizer, 6 bottles of water, etc rolling around in your bag right now) Next thing you know that bag is weighing us down. And that weight? That weight can keep us from moving forward - from progressing  towards future successes.  All that extra stuff that you've chosen to carry around does its job of dragging you down into a place that seems almost impossible to emerge from. And don't even get me started on what carrying all that baggage into a new relationship can do. ...

A Perfect Fit

Hello Blogoverse! Ok, so we're cool with each other right? I mean we've shared experiences, stories and laughs with each other. So since we're cool with each other, lemme ask you something - what size are your unmentionables? LOL I'm kidding - unless you just wanna share - but seriously, why do you think there are different sizes? Pants, shoes, shirts - but it doesn't stop there. Apartments, houses, cars, meals - literally there's a size reference for just about everything. Wonder why? No? Just me, huh? Or did you already say  - "Duh, it's because not everyone is the same" DING DING DING Well you don't say... Alright let's dig a little further. Search your memories - do you recall hearing/reading a story about a young lady, who was like the overlooked child of the family, who one day gets the chance of a lifetime...she gets to go to a super swank grown-up party. I'm talking flashy ride - complete with a chauffeur, custom-made fancy dres...

Puzzle

Sometimes we don't know what we want. Heck, most of the time we barely know what it is we need. So, isn't it amazing then that when we find it, stumble across it or when it finds us, it is basically immediately clear that it is in fact what was needed, what was wanted? Like, say you're putting together a puzzle. Perhaps it's one with oh let's say a thousand pieces (whew that's ALOT)                                                                                                                                                    http://clipart-library.com/jigsaw-puzzle.html You start with the edges putting them together and b...

Walking On Water

Slowly, you wade cautiously through the depths... In water, not murky, but not the blue of crystals... Cautious, hesitant...afraid of making waves... A plethora of thoughts, birthed from episodic overthinking... These thoughts serve to weigh you down, like stones ... Tied around your waist, your legs, your arms...yet still you wade... Until one day, that day you decide no more wading... No more sloshing through what-ifs and maybes... Now you're jumping in with both feet, eyes wide...into the deep end... Full speed... No stones... No worries... No fears... Just stepping out on faith... Walking on water.                                                                                                                ...

Quiet Blue

Looking out on an expanse of tranquility... Here I sit...alone but not lonely... Between them there is a difference... It's subtle, yet deep in its intensity... Alone, a stone of thoughts... Small and light...will skip across the serenity of blue... Smooth ripples, endless ripples that dance across the surface... Calming in its undulating rhythm... Lonely, a boulder of thoughts... Big and heavy...would not skip or dance across the peaceful oasis... Rough swells, endless swells that battle much deeper than the surface... Torrential in its unrelenting cadence... Here I sit...alone but not lonely... The difference between them... a choice, a mindset... A lone stone, small and light...skipping and dancing... Or a boulder, rough and heavy...sinking you to the bottom, ruining the quiet blue.

Reflections

Hey blogoverse! Have you ever found yourself in a situation where it just seems that no matter what you do it just isn't enough? Maybe you thought it was enough for you but maybe not so much for the people in your life? An example? I'm so glad you asked. Say for instance you are in a relationship with this great guy/girl. I mean they literally make you smile just when they run across your mind. The problem is they don't quite have the same feelings about you. While you would do and have done so much to make them happy - meanwhile all you hear is criticisms. Oh some are subtle - "you know, you'd be really pretty with straight hair."  Some not so much - "why are you always reading? How many books does one person need! Ugh, don't you do anything fun? Man, you are so boring. All you ever do is read, watch tv and write in those notebooks. You never get drunk, you don't do drugs..why don't you live a little for Pete's sake!!!  You have to do som...

Sanity

Out of the blue, you appeared in my life... Like the sun, peeking from the clouds after a storm So bright, you seemed to glow and radiate such  warmth. In your presence, well... I feel your care, your VOICE , your SMILE ... How can I possibly feel your VOICE ?! How can I feel your SMILE? ! Am I crazy? When I'm with you, well... I hear your heart, I hear your EYES ... I hear your EYES !  Am I crazy?! I thought that if I admitted... At least to myself, t hat I liked you - a little, it  would help. But, no, I still feel your SMILE caressing my lips - when I'm alone. Maybe I am crazy? I figured if I admitted... At least to myself, that I liked you more than a little, that would be enough. But no, I can still feel your VOICE surrounding me - when I'm alone. OH GOD, I must be crazy?!! I hoped that if I admitted... At least to myself, that I love you - a little, it would stop these crazies! But no, I can still hear your EYES talking to me - when I'm alone. So today, I stan...

Foundation

A house built with straw A house built with sticks We know how the story goes Quickly thrown together A few flowers, a few kisses, a few sweet words And then the wolf takes a deep breath A house built with straw A house built with sticks We know how the story goes The wolf begins to blow Exhaling puffs of anger, huffs of misunderstandings Stirring your hurt feelings and making you run A house built with straw A house built with sticks Is no match for a house built with bricks It's foundation is strong Built on friendship, laughter Spending time together, learning one another It can withstand a hurricane of tears It can withstand the tides of raised voices A shelter from the huffs of disappointments But it takes more time to build It takes more care, more effort Ensuring that the foundation is set A house built with straw A house built with sticks A house built with bricks We know how the story goes Now, which house do you prefer? And which house will you choose to build?

Lessons are meant to be learned

I have always believed that if you live long enough you will learn many many things. Some good, some not so good and some downright awful. Either way, those things you learn it's up to you what you do with that knowledge. You can use it to help someone, help the world-at-large (say for instance you learn how to IDK make/utilize something that helps with pollution IDK but you know what I mean, lol) Or you can use it help/better yourself. Oh come on, there are tons of self-help gurus and books and videos and classes, etc. that you can visit/read/watch/attend that are slated to help you, well, BETTER YOURSELF . And why not? unless you're a complete NARCISSIST,  who doesn't want to be a better version of themselves? It helps not only you but the people that you grace with your presence 😁 Sometimes though, these things you learn...these LESSONS ...aren't always pleasant. You may find out things about yourself that you weren't aware of, things that you can choose to eit...

Home

Snuggled in these arms of yours they hold me close and tight...not to hurt or restrict but to reassure me that all is well... that here it’s okay to take down my walls... that here in the shelter of your arms, listening to the music created by the beating of your big warm heart I am safe... I am home.
