Peter Piper Picked A Pepper, But My Name's Not Pepper

You ever wonder why you weren't picked? Maybe you don't know the hurt of being in school and being the last one standing when picking teams for dodgeball, softball or kickball teams.(Hey, I was/am a nerd so I did get selected for the debate team, math-letes WOOHOO) But those of you who are not familiar with that pain, let me tell you - All you can think of at that point is WHY NOT ME?  WHY DIDN'T THEY PICK ME? WHY DON'T THEY LIKE ME? Now, most times it's not about popularity - unless you are trying to be chosen for a team led by a gaggle of mean chicks - but I digress.  My question is this - when does it stop? Actually, does it ever or does it just carry over into other parts of our lives? Okay, let's look at a few examples: When you through your hat in the ring for a new job or promotion, you're probably pitted against a bunch of other applicants. If you're not selected, do those thoughts run through your mind? WHY NOT ME? WHY DIDN'T THEY PICK ME?

You're NOT the Boss of Me!

Hey there folks! So, let's talk about work for a minute. Okay, well not work exactly but let's talk about bosses. Yeah those people who usually get paid the big bucks, have the corner office with the great view and the EA that is harder to get past than a secret service agent? LOL Now some of us have been lucky enough to have really great bosses (I'm not gonna name names - ok initials ALW) but there's probably also been at least one, if you're old enough, that hasn't been so great (am NOT even posting initials...) Just in case you've been blessed and fortunate enough to escape the trials of a not-so-great (AKA HORRIBLE) boss, here are:  10 Signs of a Terrible Boss/Supervisor   Believes the entire world is theirs and you poor schmucks are lucky to be in their presence.  Reminds you daily that you can be replaced  Thrives on setting you up for failure (i.e. giving you tasks that you aren't prepared for)  Pits you and another employee against
